Andrew Sullivan Moving from Time to Atlantic Monthly

Andrew Sullivan has announced a move from Time magazine, which will have hosted his blog for exactly a year, to Atlantic Monthly.

As Patrick Gavin notes, Time‘s recent woes might have factored into the decision. I’m inclined to take Sullivan at his word here, though. There’s simply no better public affairs magazine than the Atlantic. Now that it has moved to DC from Boston, the move is a no-brainer given the opportunity.

Since I seldom bother with St. Andrew the Incontinent any longer, I’m not sure I much care WHERE he goes. So to speak.

Your comment, about Atlantic, however, are true… however last I looked, the readership was far smaller. So, unless they’ve offered more money, which I doubt given the relative size, I can’t imagine this being anything but a step backwards for him.

I note with interest, this post.
Perhaps St. Andrew’s dismissal is tied to this?
