Andy Rooney made his last appearance as a regular commenter on "60 Minutes" last night but says he's not retiring because "writers don't retire."

Andy Rooney made his last appearance as a regular commenter on “60 Minutes” last night but says he’s not retiring because “writers don’t retire.”

At 92, though, he’s earned the right to slow down a mite. And to eat his dinner in peace.

    You ever see the special, “Mr. Rooney Dines Out”?

    Two things I remember especially:

    “If you’re in a restaurant that has red tassels on the menu, add 10 bucks to the price of the same meal someplace else.”

    “If I’d wanted home cooking, I’d have stayed at home.”
