Announcement

After long contemplation and discussion with my family, I have decided to continue working.  Further, I will not be attending training camp with the Minnesota Vikings.

I had to be careful not to commit for the wrong reasons.  I’m 43 with a lot of time in front of the computer.  The problem with going to work every day for twenty-odd years is that they think there’s nothing wrong with you and you can work forever.  The things that bothered me, bothered me a little more.  It takes longer to recover — if you do recover.

Ultimately, though, continuing to earn a living was something that my family and I wanted to do.  So I’m going to commit 110 percent for at least the next year.

On my vacation I went to a Brewer’s game in Milwaukee WI. I saw the funniest T-shirt it was green with a cheese yellow outline of Wisconsin, and outline facsimile of your face. The words said, “We’ll never forget you BRENT.”

Guys, aren’t we being a little tough on him here? I mean, look at the numbers. James is a hall-of-famer, let’s just celebrate any decision he makes and enjoy the ride. Even if it’s a non-decision.
