INSTA-GUARDIAN: Glenn has an op-ed in today’s Guardian detailing the rise of the blogosphere. Interesting reading. It is amazing how quickly this phenomenon has risen. Still, some perspective is in order. The blogosphere ain’t exactly TV. Not just yet. A couple days ago, in an e-mail communication with one of only two friends from my high school days I still keep in touch with, I mentioned this blog and told him to check it out if he got bored. Despite the fact that he works in an office with high-speed Internet access, is wired at home, has a college education, a genius level IQ, watches the news, and has taken apart and re-engineered all manner of electronic equipment just for the fun of it for as long as I’ve known him (almost 23 years now!) –he had never heard of a blog until then.
