MAIN CAMPAIGN NEARS: Reuters’ latest news roundup indicates that there is a significant aerial bombardment campaign (although no MOABs) underway against Republican Guard forces and that coalition forces seem to be gathering for the main assault. The piece also mentions that, “U.S. forces said they had destroyed a downed Apache attack helicopter to prevent the Iraqis from seizing any of the sophisticated targeting equipment and weapons aboard.”
