“MAJOR” AIR WAR ON: Reuters reports that the bombing has started in earnest. (I’m checking Reuters constantly, since WaPo and the NYT seem to be doing almost all their reporting off the Reuters wire.)

And I love this line: [T]he point of such intense bombardment of military and government targets around the country — including Saddam’s home area around Tikrit — would be to convince the Iraqi military that it would be futile to continue to resist a ground invasion.” Well, I guess to the Iraqis, our forces must seem like the Borg. . . .
