WARS KILL: In a move to get the public ready for the reality of war, White House Warns Citizens to Prepare for Loss of Life. While the fact that people die in wars should be intuitively obvious, Gulf War One and subsequent conflicts have created an expectation that America can fight without battle deaths. I would expect relatively few allied combat losses, fewer than 200, but this is by no means guaranteed. One “lucky” hit can kill a lot of people.
