BERKELEY

Human Events reports College Republicans are now the largest student group at the University of California at Berkley, with 500 active members. This is interesting but somehow I suspect not evidence that conservatives are suddenly the majority on campus.

In Seattle, the CRs at the UW are the largest CR in the country, with about 1,000 members. Not necessarily a majority, but a much braver and louder minority than in years past.

Well, I went to UC Santa Cruz. It isn't easy being a conservative Republican in a Berkeley wannabe. On the subject of Berkeley Republican, they ran a affirmative action bake sales a couple of months ago. Whites and Asians pay full price. Blacks and Hispanics half price.
