CHINA’S SPACE HERO?

Just wondering: Why is this man a hero for doing something a Soviet dog managed 46 years ago?
Not to mention the Space Monkey immortalized by John Prine.

I was scratching my head about this story, too.
"In an upcoming National Geographic special, a Chinese astronaut re--enacts the flights of early space pioneers."
