Gen. Richard Myers, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is on Fox News Sunday. He just said that the Taguba report, completed in late February, “has not worked its way up to me yet.” That’s rather disturbing.

Not so disturbing, I think. The wheels of the Army staff and the joint staff grind exceedingly slow, but they grind exceedingly fine. Gotta remember that every command and staff oficer involved in the process is overloaded with other work. This case is notorious, but is still only one case of many, many actions the chain of command is working.
PS - I served in ther Pentagon from 90-93.
That's certainly true. Under other circumstances, I could see Myers waiting for the process to sift this out. But since the report leaked and is available at the New Yorker's web site and is the hot topic of conversation, I'm a bit perplexed that the Chairman didn't at least get an executive summary to be able to field questions.
I find it more likely that he has seen an executive summary and decided that it's best to seem ignorant right now (not that I agree, but I never was sufficiently "political").
