Washington Post Best Blogs Contest

WaPo is having a Best Blogs - Politics & Elections contest. There are several categories and, unlike most polls, completely open ended so you can choose any site you want. Surely, though, this humble site should be a strong contender in the “Best Outside the Beltway” category, since it’s the only one. Unless the Seattle Times starts another new blog . . .

I know some of the guys over at the Times. I'll mention that "Outside the Beltway" is a perfect name for their new DC-based blog.
I've already got a bug in the P-I's ear about "Arguing With Signposts."
I sat there for like five minutes wrestling with the temptation to nominate my own site in all the categories.
Ultimately cooler heads prevailed.
