Is the implication here that when someone sings/acts and is against Bush that's presumptuous and annoying, but if they throw a baseball and favor Bush that's meaningful?

Nope. It's not particularly meaningful in either case, although at least Schilling isn't imposing his views on people at his work venue. It's not as if Massachussets is suddenly going to go for Bush. Still, it's rather amusing that he did this on GMA with a chagrined Charlie Gibson looking on.

Newspapers endorse candidates all the time. Which do you find more credible, the opinion of the NYT editors or someone like Curt Schilling?

Not that an endorsement means much to me. But it can provide a good indication of character and viewpoint.

I can't believe any endorsements really mean anything-- I have to believe that if you are aware enough of the political landscape to know who is endorsing whom, then you have made up your mind already. Of course, it completely baffles me that there are people who claim they are going to vote, who also claim they are undecided at this late date.
But, what do I know-- I'm a Met fan-- my guys aren't on GMA!

Schilling's endorsement, (although it brings me great joy in the wake of a Sox victory), will likely not do much to sway MA voters.

Kerry is doing enough of that on his own. Few Sox fans will vote for such a poser, fair-weather fan, who knows more about windsurfing than baseball.

It has been a long, hard road to the championship. We will never forget those who were there before, and after.

Anyone know where I can find a video of Schilling's appearance on GMA? It is not on the GMA site. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
