WHAT CHIRAC HATH WROUGHT: The eminent historian Paul Johnson argues in WSJ that France has irreparably harmed the UN, NATO, and the EU with its actions in the Iraq case. While I find the argument overstated–NATO will certainly be fine, if nothing else as a tool to bolster its new eastern European members–the essay is compelling. (From RCP)
