New al-Zawahiri Tape

New al-Zawahiri tape lashes U.S. policy (CNN)

Ayman al-Zawahiri, the No. 2 man in al Qaeda, lashed out at U.S. efforts to extend democracy around the world in a videotape aired Sunday on Al Jazeera, saying those efforts “will end with your defeat, the killing of your sons and the destruction of your economy.”

It’s about time for al Qaeda to get some new material.

That's it. First Hanoi John points out that the elections weren't meaningful and now this. We need to pull out of Iraq right now. Obviously promoting democracy is a complete waste of time. Anyone who thinks Iraqis didn't like living under a totalitarian dictator hasn't seen Fahrenheit 911.

Al Qaeda has a problem. Their big shots keep getting killed or captured. They may have to hit the replay button for a little while.

How about a prequel? "Al Queda - Episode I"
or "Bin Laden - The early years"

What's even more comical than their "damn all those who oppose us and oppressive dictatorships" nonsense is seeing these leaders with AK-47s propped behind them or with pistols strapped to their bodies. The guns are probably unloaded for fear they'll shoot up the place. These guys probably run or soil their pants at the first sign of trouble heading their way.
