Rapper-actor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson thinks President Bush is a gangster. And he means it to be complimentary.
50 Cent: President Bush Is A Gangster
In a bizarre outburst, 50 Cent has heaped praise on President Bush saying he wants to meet him. The views contradict those of the likes of Kanye West who accused Bush of not caring about black people in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
Fiddy even said that if he didnât have felony convictions preventing him from balloting, he would have voted for Bush in the last election. As breaking news reports, Fiddy said: “Heâs is incredible⦠A gangster. I wanna meet George Bush, just shake his hand and tell him how much of me I see in him.”
The resemblance is uncanny.

Well, that's one compliment to the President that I can join in unreservedly.
Bush should jump all over this. It can do nothing but help him with young blacks.

The demographic that finds most appeal in 50 Cent (and most other gangsta rap a well) is white, suburban teenage males.
50 and W have quite a bit in common: they are both creations of corporate interests, they are booth goofish, puerile, anti-intellectual, and strong advocates of violence to solve social problems.
Well, the two groups in America who are most against judges these days?
Conservatives and gangsters.
The two groups that most talk down to women?
Conservatives and gangster rappers.
Sounds like these two groups have a lot in common.
And if "Fiddy" had said these same exact things about a Democrat president...?
And if âFiddyâ had said these same exact things about a Democrat presidentâ¦?
The last Democratic President, Clinton, was not a big fan of gangsta rap. His words on Sister Soulja (which upset Jesse Jackson, by the way):
"You had a rap singer here last night named Sister Soulja. I defend her right to express herself through music, but her comments before and after Los Angeles were filled with a kind of hatred that you do not honor today and tonight.
"Just listen to this, what she said. She told the Washington Post about a month ago, and I quote, 'if black people kill black people every day, why not have a week and kill white people?' Last year she said, 'you can't call me or any black person anywhere in the world racist. We don't have the power to do to white people what white people have done to us. And even if we did, we don't have that lowdown, dirty nature. If there are any good white people, I haven't met them.'
"If you took the words 'white' and 'black' and you reversed them, you might think David Duke was giving that speech."
