Saving The World, Moonbat Style

“Peacenik” Betty Williams

Betty Williams, a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and founder of The Community For Peace People, told a group of school children today that she’d like to protect more human life.

By killing George W. Bush:

Nobel peace laureate Betty Williams displayed a flash of her feisty Irish spirit yesterday, lashing out at US President George W.Bush during a speech to hundreds of schoolchildren.

Campaigning on the rights of young people at the Earth Dialogues forum, being held in Brisbane, Ms Williams spoke passionately about the deaths of innocent children during wartime, particularly in the Middle East, and lambasted Mr Bush.

“I have a very hard time with this word ‘non-violence’, because I don’t believe that I am non-violent,” said Ms Williams, 64.

“Right now, I would love to kill George Bush.” Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.

“I don’t know how I ever got a Nobel Peace Prize, because when I see children die the anger in me is just beyond belief. It’s our duty as human beings, whatever age we are, to become the protectors of human life.”

Yes, her “feisty Irish spirit.” Apparently the article’s author, Annabelle McDonald, finds advocating the murder of President Bush in front of school children endearing.

  1. ken says:

Greg, you shouldn’t be calling names. Most of the world thinks you are the crazy one.

And when that happens perhaps you should consider the possibility that you may be wrong, because, you know, the whole world is not just one big conspiracy against you.

  2. BOB says:

And by “most of the world” Ken obviously means himself and all of his small furry imaginary friends that live on that planet where the sky is green.

  3. Russ says:

So then, presumably she wouldn’t have a logical problem if people who disagreed with her killed her?

I mean, if that’s what she considers an acceptable rhetorical tactic.

  4. jpe says:

Russ, that was stupid. If she were the proximate cause of dead kids, then her logic could be used against her.

  5. Russ says:

    jpe:

“Proximate cause” – I don’t think those words mean what you think they mean.

  6. Doug says:

    Is psychosis contagious?

Ken and Russ are proof that it is.

They are “proximate cause” for the spread of psychosis.

Therefore, they should be murdered by a Nobel “peace” advocate.

  7. widestaringeyes says:

Reminder: peace is achieved through military victory. Crush you enemy. Eradicate your enemy. If there is no enemy, there is no conflict. Then a government can focus on its people and get back to the business of actually governing.

Save the children, ceasefire, sustainable ceasefire, end the hostilities, seek a diplomatic solution: these are all really nice concepts. Some of us, however, live in the real world.

  8. john says:

Well that’s the difference between US and them nasty Taliban, Al-Qaeda, Osama, Saddam types. If she was in their countries and advocated the death of a male Muslim, well she’d have been passed around till that feisty Irish spirit would be released. Besides all us Irish are good for are blowing up schoolchildren, and sniper shooting innocent British soldiers who came over to bring us the benefits of British civilization…. Gutter-punks and Gun-control.

  9. Oldcrow says:

Anyone ever notice that these moonbat piecenik’s always talk about the U.S. and western governments yet never mention any of the truly horrible crap going on in say Congo(child fighters), North Korea(famine, whole families punushed for crimes), Sudan(child slavery, purpose-full killing of children) and other places like that? Maybe she should ask herself about the mass graves full of men, women and children we are still finding in Iraq George Bush stopped all that when we invaded Iraq. She and those like her are hypocritical immoral cowards they are to cowardly to take on the real tragedies going on in the aforementioned countries because that would be to hard so they go after the easy targets and think about the immorality of saying stopping Saddam was wrong when you know what he was doing when he was in power. Pathetic and sickening creatures like Ms Williams actually exist.

  10. madmatt says:

No the question is this…”Are GWB’s actions in iraq, afghanistan and indirectly in lebanon causing children to die in larger nyumbers than they would otherwise?” If you believe the answer to be yes and that children deserve to be defended as do the rethug chorus over at focus on family etc then the question is what will you do to stop it…or is your hypocrisy so obvious that your concern only applies to the preborn and “white” children.

  11. madmatt says:

oh and to oldcrow….there are still fresh mass graves in iraq since gwb moved into the neighborhood, and he didn’t do crap about north korea because they have nukes!

  12. McGehee says:

No the question is thisAre GWBs actions in iraq, afghanistan and indirectly in lebanon causing children to die in larger nyumbers than they would otherwise?

    Um, no.

The question is, what kind of maniac advocates political assassination as a way to achieve peace — and advocates it in front of schoolchildren?

A subsidiary question is, what kind of lunatic defends the maniac?

  13. Anderson says:

Indefensible, probably. The only legitimate point I could see would be “I would love to kill Bush, but that would be wrong, and doing right means not doing things you would love to do.”

Even then, it would be in very poor taste, given the audience.

  14. Oldcrow says:

Are GWBâ??s actions in iraq, afghanistan and indirectly in lebanon causing children to die in larger nyumbers than they would otherwise?â?? If you believe the answer to be yes and that children deserve to be defended

or is your hypocrisy so obvious that your concern only applies to the preborn and â??whiteâ?? children.

Nice imply racism and religous fanatisism in the same BS post. Well lets see if you agree with her dimwit and you don’t think she should be doing anything about Sudan, North Korea and others most of which happen to be populated by a majority of non-white people who exactly is the rascist after all you leftards don’t think we should have gone into Iraq however, you sure did support the Serbia and Kosovo campaign which are majority white EasternE uropean. But that is a strawman anyway. Your real issue is you wanted Saddam to stay in power after all in your reality he provided free healthcare and food to his people and that makes him a great leader right? Hell why bother with the little inconveniant fact that he killed over ONE MILLION MEN WOMEN AND CHILDREN hell fifty thousand innocent civilians in Halabja in one day alone right? The truth is you leftards are worthless cowards who would not defend your own mothers against a killer little less a stranger in a strange land. You have no moral grounding you think all points of view are valid and moral. It is a sick view of the world and I pity your lack of clarity, courage and morality. I find it very amusing that you fools defend those who would put a gun to your head and dump your dead body in a mass grave if they could, just because of your religuos beliefs, skin color or sexual prefferance or just because they want to yet you claim to support and defend those same people and by the way it was a majority Democrat party that blocked the civil rights act for twenty years and it is the democrat party that still has a grand kleagle of the KKK as one of there leaders in the senate and tell me again what exactly has the left done for minorities in this country? Oh thats right NOTHING!

  15. Bandit says:

    Indefensible, probably.

Funny, how come so many defended her. Nice qualifier too. I wonder if she ever wanted to kill Saddam or Mugabe?
