Heartburn, Not Heart Disease

After learning that second baseman Marcus Giles has heartburn, not heart disease as diagnosed by a Philadelphia ER doc, Braves general manager John Schuerholz was understandably relieved.

Asked about the disparity between a heart-valve problem and acid reflux, Schuerholz said, “I didn’t go to medical school, but it sounds like a big difference.”

Indeed.
