Maybe its some of those pesky Australians trying to do their own "Manhattan project" in their endless quest for nuclear weapons.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think it best to avoid jokes about domestic terrorism and such. I would not wish Anthrax on any fellow American, knowing what it does, and how it has killed.

Budget red ink running like a river, Iraq in meltdown mode, economy sputtering, corruption rampant, US chucks habeas corpus, embraces torture...

I know! Lets talk about Clinton's sex life in another century!!

This isn't a "fellow American"--this is CLINTON.If he had actually not called off the hunt for Bin Laden there would have been no 9/11.

Clinton's National Security Advisor, Sandy Berger, hung up the phone on CIA agents just as they were asking for authroization to catch Osama. Had he and slick will not been so cowardly, we would never have gotten into this mess.

They found some 'truth,' just didn't recognize it.

And James didn't think the ABC docu-drama was going to be a problem.

We just finished watching "The 40 Year Old Virgin." Did you know that Steve Carell is 40 years old and a virgin?

Hey... I saw it on TV! Must be true!!

Triumph,

We await documentation of your claim. And "Captain Ed said so" is not documentation...

How interesting that a fictitous documentary about a Bush assassination recieves howls of protest from some of the same people who want to make jokes out of suspicious substances found in Clinton's NY office...nice...

Sheesh, lighten up folks. It was just a funny line.

About as funny as the idea that an "innocent" who was corrupted by the Bid Bad Clenis would tell her Mom to keep a spunky dress for her - "don't get it dry-cleaned, Mom, I might need it in a few months..."

But not nearly as funny as Bush's recent "We live in a global world". When the Prezdint makes Dan Quayle look articulate, satire has its work cut out.

But I try...

Dick Cheney decides to treat Bush and Rummie to lunch at his favorite restaurant. The waiter approaches and says...

"Nice to see you again, Mr. Vice President. The usual?"

Cheney replies, "Yep. Steak, raw."

The waiter then goes on, "And the vegetables?"

Cheney: "Oh, they'll have steak too!"

Triumph,

This was a well-known fact from the 9/11 Commission Report. They did the most thorough investigation. It even showed up in the documentary on ABC BASED ON THE REPORT. It's true.

"hung up the phone on CIA agents just as they were asking for authroization"

Wow. It is really really scary how susceptible, or even willing, some people are to embrace and perpeutate myths. Its like they run full speed away from reality, and they vote! I think this is all the proof we need to punctuate the debate on the effect of the ABC miniseries.

Dude do you remember 9/11 and the war that we are in, Embrace torture? dude do you know how stupid you sound, why can't you liberals understand the definition of any thing? Habeas corpus, DUDE!!! the rights in this country are for AMERICANS!!!!!!!......... the moral of this story is...........if you don't know sh-t, Don't talk it, the end.

Embrace torture? dude do you know how stupid you sound

Excuse me? Who sounds stupid?

The whole point of waterboarding is to induce severe physical suffering. Therefore it is torture, even under the limited definition in U.S. law.

That's pretty obvious, to everyone who's not (1) actively engaged in bending the facts and the law to protect the White House, or (2) stupid. Pick one, Mr. Phillips.

(The "dress" comment was funny, btw.)

It is a truism, regardless of political bent, that sanity runs in inverse proportion to the number of exclamation points and question marks one is willing to use in a sentence.

GA,

"The greatest economy the world has ever seen"?

Dude, you might want to check Q3 economic growth, if you even know what that is. I have no doubt the economy is the greatest if you are the CEO of Exxon or Chevron, but if you are just one of the millions of Amercians who have been living beyond your means via refi, well the bills are coming due.

As for the "free" people of Iraq, what exactly are they free to do? Cower in their homes and hope they are not killed today?

Yes, I remember 9-11 very well. I remember the thousands of Americans who were slaughtered in the heart of NYC on Bush's watch. Bin Laden is still at large. How come you are not pissed there has been no justice for your murdered countrymen? What kind of American are you?

Anderson you have got to be kidding me, and A.S. hate for the people who have done well and the people who spend to much money that they don't have is a reason why this is not the greatest economy the world has ever known? the people in Iraq are free to to keep murdering in the name of Islam, it is their choice, as it is their choice not to, and I'm pissed off that that you people will not support this war effort and the quest to gain your power back is the only reason.
