Jon Stewart makes fun of the CNN blogger party:
Money quote:
“Yes, apparently partying blog style means typing on a laptop while not partying. At one point, a blogger [you] was being interviewed about blogging while watching herself being interviewed about blogging. I wonder if she’ll blog about that.”
Indeed, she did.
Of course, I said much the same thing: “It occurs to me that ‘blogger party’ wherein actual blogging is taking place is an oxymoron.” There was plenty of socializing, food consumption, and imbibing of alcoholic beverages. Still, political blogging on election night is work, not a party.

Was this an evil plot to diffuse blogger impact by keeping them distracted with food, drink, and comaraderie instead of actually blogging?
Quite possibly. I termed the continual problems with their wireless network "Blogger Suppression." Even with connectivity, it's damned hard to follow the election without being able to actually hear the various televisions. Thankfully, I mostly get my stuff online, anyway.
I caught a segment where I could see you in the background. No laptop, you weren't signed online, and you were talking with a real live person. You must have been on a break.
Heh. Yeah, I did some of that. There really wasn't all that much interesting to blog about. Not a lot to say about election returns, really.
