Condi Rice Gearing Up for Presidential Run?

Bill Jempty noticed something interesting in Dan Sweeney’s guide to the 2008 presidential elections:
The supposedly independent Americans for Dr. Rice and The National Black Republican Association share the same address. Down to same suite number. 601 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Suite 900-S, Washington, DC 20004.
The office building houses several clients, notably the National Gallery of Art, The Capital Grille, the Credit Union National Association, and The Southern Company. If a Google search is any indication, though, the NBRA and Americans for Dr. Rice are the only tenants of that suite.
I placed a phone call to the NBRA and was told that the fact that they share office space was “just a coincidence.” I then called Americans for Dr. Rice and the same fellow answered the phone. When asked about that coincidence, he directed me to a voice mail box, with which I left a message.
Is this an indication that Rice is running? Not, necessarily. Indeed, it’s probably more likely that the same folks that set up NBRA, which appears to be a somewhat odd 527 PAC, simply bought up another website and started raising money through a second avenue.
Frankly, I can’t imagine Rice running in 2008. Her star, shall we say, is not at its apex at the moment. The 911 Commission investigation and the Iraq War have not exactly bolstered her reputation. Further, she’s hardly in a position to do much fund raising in her current position.

Two fifth tier fund raising organizations sharing a suite and a receptionist in DC. Those are some mighty thin tea leaves to read for a Condi run for president.
I hate to point this out but do you really think a black women would garner any respect from the republican base?

We conservatives don't give a crap what color Condi's skin is. She is probably one of the most intelligent people on earth (which automatically makes her a conservative), which unfortunately will probably lead her to decide not to run.

Who are we talking about? When did the subject change from Condi Rice?
I know that building very well, being in the process of renting space there right now. It is a short term "condo" office set up, sometimes known as a virtual office. If you were to look through the tenant list, you would see a lot of such organizations. There are also a passel of one man corporate outposts and lobbying organizations. It's a nice building, convenient to both Capitol Hill and downtown. I think you are reading more into this than should be. But I am just saying...
I have a hard time imagining Dr. Rice out glad-handing at the Iowa State Fair. But I think she is, and remains (despite Iraq), a formidable possibility as a Veep nominee, which would considerably delay the day she'd be required to plunge into the election fray and effectively absolve her from such tasks as money-raising.
May just be wishful thinking on my part.
Rice's entire career in politics is pretty much based on having her lips vacuum welded to Bush's ass.
Bush is about as popular as mold these days, and that is a generous estimate.
Does this sound like a winner?
So the leader of the free world should be decided by a popularity contest? I'm glad you pointed that out. Now I don't have to worry about all the great ideas she may have conveyed during her campaign.

Lets put some data into this discussion.
Corker, Allen and Steele all got 94% of the republican vote in their elections. Does that sound like their is some skin color test in the republican party?
Democrats supported Ford and Webb by 93% (Cardin only got 86% of democrats). Independents supported Ford by 50%, Webb by 56% and Cardin by 52%, so they supported the Black candidate once and didn't in the other case. And of course, the margin of victory in Tennessee was the 38% to 34% Republican advantage vs the smaller 39% to 36% republican advantage in Virginia coupled with the stronger independent vote. And of course Maryland had a dominate 50% to 31%democratic advantage.
So your prejudice is shown by your comment, but the facts of the real world don't support your prejudice. Sorry, but reality can be that way.
Peter MacKay isn't Bush and everybody knows she taught him the WMD degree thing while they were partying at the mansion(the coke days). How is screwing MacKay and giving up screwing Bush going to get her President?
