Blogging the Scooter Libby Trial

Media Bloggers Association president Robert Cox has worked out a deal to get credentials for two bloggers to cover the Scooter Libby trial in DC on a rotating basis. I’ll be among the participants.

The process should help the bloggers and their readers better understand the federal courts and the process of covering the news. At the same time, we will hopefully provide a fresh perspective on a high profile public event, bringing different insights than a traditional beat reporter.

Congrats. Don't know how many trials you have covered but they ain't Perry Mason.

Rotating reporters might not be a good idea.

Rotating reporters? They don't have the money or the time to do the job?

Have fun with the emptywheel folks!

They have other jobs. Basically, there will always be one of the two who was there the day before to do a hand-off briefing and smooth the transition. But you're not going to have an individual blogger sit there 4-5 weeks day in and day out.
