John Kerry Bows Out of 2008 Presidential Race

John Kerry has decided not to run for president in 2008.
Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the Democrats’ losing presidential candidate in 2004, does not intend to run again in 2008, a Democratic official said Wednesday. This official said Kerry intends to seek a new six-year term in the Senate.
Kerry plans to disclose his political plans in remarks on the Senate floor later in the day, according to this official, who spoke on condition of anonymity to avoid pre-empting a formal announcement.
While I can understand his desire to have a second bite at the apple after having come relatively close in 2004, the odds were against his getting the nomination again.

This was the smartest move he could have made. There is no way the Democrats are going to nominate him again, and why spend all that money when he has a life time appointment to the senate from the citizens of Massachussettes.
Now Kerry can get back to devoting all his time to his work in the Senate and do what he has always done there - NOTHING.
I forgot, he worked hard calling for daily early adjournment. Teresa schooled him well that there is nothing to be gained from hanging out all day with the common people.
