ANSWER Backed by Castro?

Smash infiltrates the ANSWER anti-war rally and comes away thinking the socialist front group may be sponsored by Fidel Castro.

Speaking of Castro, is there any real reason (as opposed to political) to continue our ridiculous policies toward Cuba? Seems to me if we can normalize relations with Vietnam Cuba should be a snap.

Is Castro sponsoring much of anything these days, other than his doctors' salaries?

No.

Hard to say from this vantage point. The Castro regime is in power one way or the other, though.

Smash's conclusions are based on nothing except the remarkable realization that a group of socialists are sympathetic toward cuba. Wow. Who would have thought socialists would be sympathetic toward a socialist nation. I mean that's just crazy, obviously Fidel must be funneling them money to take such a strange counterintuitive stance.

I agree with Tlaloc.
The notion that Smash "came away' thinking that, as opposed to thinking that all along and using the excuse of a web address on a poster to "confirm" it, is silly.

And with all due respect to Smash, who cares about who he thinks funds ANSWER? Its not like he is offering any real information here.

Meanwhile, James uses the "assertion disguised as a question" trick in his title. Ah, the ways of political PR.

(NB. I aint defending these people, but I do have an aversion to BS)

The notion that Smash thinks at all should be the question we are all pondering.
