 Outside the Beltway

Alan Keyes 2008

If you thought there weren’t enough candidates without a chance of winning to chose from, have no fear: Alan Keyes appears to be gearing up for another run for the White House. Ron Gunzburger has details:

Alan Keyes Check out alankeyes.com — a site which Keyes has controlled for many years and which is owned by Alan Keyes Enterprises, Inc. The website disclaimer said it is paid for by “We Need Alan Keyes for President, Inc.” The group is described on the site as “a political action committee organized according to rules established by the FEC … [and] not managed by Alan Keyes, but rather is an organization designed to determine and rally support for a presidential candidacy by Dr. Keyes, should he choose to run.” Yup, Alan Keyes is drafting Alan Keyes to run for President. To date, the bombastic Keyes has lost two GOP nomination runs for President and three very lopsided bids for the US Senate.

Hey, if you don’t believe in yourself, who else will?

I like him. I was one of the 7 or 8 Californians who voted for him in the 2000 GOP primary.

I admit I love to hear him debate-he is very eloquent knows well what he believe and how to argue the positions.

But I don't much see him as presidential material, and would rather not see him run.
