Castro Appears in First Post-Surgery Interview

Via the BBC: Cuban TV shows Castro interview

Cuban President Fidel Castro has appeared on TV in his first interview since undergoing surgery 10 months ago.

In the recorded interview, the 80-year-old was seen in a tracksuit and looking relatively healthy.

The question on everyone’s mind is, of course: can’t they give the man something to wear other than a tracksuit? Every picture since his surgery has had him in a tracksuit. (And no, it isn’t always the same tracksuit–but it is always a tracksuit).

He’s just a fan of the Soprano’s. I really liked the first video they released where he was in a track suit walking down a hall in some building. He was really pickin’ em up and puttin’ em down in that one. His arms were really flailing…just a model of health and health care.

It’s probably “comfortable” for him to wear, easy to get into (at his age), and possible to hide things under (think colostomy bag).
