KillVote for All the Lawyers
Noting that his fellow lawyers make up an inordinate percentage of the current presidential field, Peter Lattman offers a quiz:
Match the presidential candidate with a description of his or her legal career (some descriptions courtesy of the NYT):
(A) Hillary Clinton
(B) John Edwards
(C) Rudy Giuliani
(D) Barack Obama
(E) Fred Thompson
(F) Mitt Romney(1) An intense former prosecutor
(2) A folksy former prosecutor
(3) A civil litigator from a tony regional firm
(4) A superstar trial lawyer
(5) A Harvard Law Review president who turned down BigLaw for civil-rights litigation
(6) Harvard JD/MBA who never practiced a day in his life but said he’d consult lawyers as president
Pretty easy if you’ve been paying close attention but amusing nonetheless.
Given that the list comprises 6/7 of the current First Tier candidates and 2/2 of the current frontrunners, Lattman reasonably concludes, “Our next president will likely be a lawyer.” Probably so. Unless John McCain can stage a major comeback — or Ron Paul can turn his internet enthusiasm into real votes — it would seem inevitable.

I’ll take a lawyer over failed oilman and failed major-league baseball owner.
jeff b; Like you’ve got a choice![lol]
And I’ll take Dr. Paul over all of those whatevers!
Dr. Ron Paul is already turning a lot of internet support into a lot of real money, so the logical next step is generating a lot of real votes.
On Nov. 5th he will make campaign contribution history by raking in the largest single one-day fundraising gain in American history. If you love his message of liberty and getting back to following our Constitution, help the good doctor out. Google Ron Paul Nov. 5th
I am a career Naval officer who has been politically neutral for my entire life–but voting for Ron Paul is about voting for America and our Constitution, which I took an oath to preserve. I am now supporting Dr. Paul with my wallet–and my heart.
