Scotland Yard’s Bhutto Report Supports Pakistan
Scotland Yard has completed its review of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination and concluded that the Pakistani opposition leader died after hitting her head, not from gunshot.
The findings support the Pakistani government’s assertion that Ms. Bhutto died of a head injury, while also dismissing an account that had been greeted with disbelief by Ms. Bhutto’s supporters, other Pakistanis and medical experts.
“Given the severity of the injury to Ms. Bhutto’s head, the prospect that she inadvertently hit her head whilst ducking down into the vehicle can be excluded as a reasonable possibility,” investigators said.
