New Campaign Ads

A flurry of new ads have come out over the last couple of days. They show stark differences in personality and position.

In “Ignite,” John McCain promises to “take the best ideas from both parties to spur innovation, invest in people and create jobs.”

In an ad simply called, “Pennsylvania,” Hillary Clinton continues to bang the drum on Barack Obama’s “bitter” gaffe in what Hotline dubs “the first all-out attack ad of the campaign.”

David Brock has an “independent” ad out attacking John McCain on economic issues, arguing he’s too close to President Bush.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama is running a frontrunner’s campaign with some local ads such as “Hope,” which is running in North Carolina:

Clinton’s ad strikes me as desperate and Brock’s as rather weak. It’s also too soon, I think, to start going hard negative for the general.

It's not a new ad, but McCain's "The president we've been waiting for" ad is kind of a hoot, no?

I mean, what does that say about the one we've got now?

It really makes no difference about what it says concerning our current President. His successful term is just about over. I know there is no cure for BDS but just for those of you who have this affliction. Bush is not running. Get over it.

That Clinton ad seems pretty tame by attack ad standards, James.

His successful term is just about over.

Gosh, I think there's another variant of BSD loose in the country: Bush Delusional Syndrome.
