I should point out that DOE is a bit weird. In fact, only a small part of its budget is devoted to finding new sources of energy.

Two years later history's greatest monster also gave us the Department of Education, aka ED so as not to be confused with the earlier established Department of Energy.

Tough call to decide which is worse, though I'd probably go with ED.

Really, James. The fact that Reynolds keeps his brain switched off most of the time is no excuse for you to switch yours off part of the time.
