I started OTB on blogspot the morning of January 31st. If I have done my math correctly, that means I’ve been at this six months. This is my 2,663rd post, so I’ve been busy!

According to SiteMeter, I’ve had 88,420 visitors so far.* While that’s barely a day and a quarter for Glenn, it’s more than I’d have expected.

I’m currently sitting at #44 on the TTLB Ecosystem, my highest point yet, and at #60 on Bear’s traffic rankings with 907 average daily visitors for the past week. I’d certainly be quite a bit lower on both lists if all the blogs out there were on Bear’s list.

Thanks to all the readers, blogrollers (see reciproll on the right sidebar), and linkers to my posts. Scott Ott, Stephen Green, and Glenn Reynolds all sent a lot of visitors my way fairly early and helped get some publicity. Kevin Drum, Donald Sensing, Dean Esmay, the Crooked Timber gang, Daniel Dresner, Frank J, Megan McArdle, Steven Taylor, Terry Oglesby, and Brad DeLong –and almost certainly a few I’m forgetting — have all sent substantial traffic my way in the last few months. And I’ve even been de-linked by Michele Catalano and Laurence Simon!

*I didn’t install SiteMeter until February 4th. Given my virtually non-existent traffic back then, figure maybe another 30-50 visits max.
