Stallone: ‘Rambo’ to Return

Stallone: ‘Rambo’ to return (AJC)

Perhaps a bit miffed at the recent attention his mother’s been getting, Sylvester Stallone says he’ll be making another Rambo film, reports Ananova.com. The action star’s role as John Rambo was a hit in the ’80s, with three films in six years about the mentally unstable Vietnam war veteran.

Since Stallone’s pushing 60, there will probably be less muscle-flexing in Rambo IV — but Sly’s psyched nonetheless. “We’re in the kitchen and we’re cooking,” he said. “I’ve had meetings about this and it looks good. We’ll see what we come up with.”

The 58-year-old actor is said to be unhappy about the way his mother was treated in the British Celebrity Big Brother house. Jackie Stallone arrived in the house late as a surprise new member and caused a bit of tension for Sly’s ex-wife Brigitte Nielsen — however, Jackie was the first celeb to be evicted, after five days.

The author of Movie Blog, who heard rumors of this months ago, suggests “The Hunt for Lost Fame” as the film’s subtitle. Sounds about right.

Isn't this the same Stallone that evaded the Vietnam draft by heading to europe where he made porn films to support himself; who then returned to make the hypocritical Rambo films? Didn't he even have the gall to speak the line "Maybe we can WIN this time?"

Pardon me if I am less than impressed with Sly.
