Ann Coulter: More Stupidity

Crooks and Liars found this video of Ann Coulter on “Hannity & Colmes” last night along with Michael Brown.

Coulter claimed that “[T]he closest black to Bill Clinton was his secretary Betty Currie.”

Challenged by Colmes: “Wasn’t there a guy named Brown who was black and head of the DNC at one time?” Coulter responds, “Is he a black women? I think I said the closest black women to Bill Clinton was Betty Currie.”

Brown and Colmes mention several semi-prominent blacks in Clinton’s administration including Alexis Herman. Coulter responds, “Who is Alexis Herman?”

It doesn’t sound as if she’s being ironic.

Update: I should note that her larger point, that President Bush has appointed more women and minorities to especially prominent positions than “first black president” Clinton, is correct. Continually making her points in the most obnoxious manner, though, guarantees that she’ll persuade no one not already on her side. As a self-promotion technique, though, it appears to be working well.

Yep. I can't stand Ann Coulter. She grates on my nerves, though she is one of the most well known conservative women around. She gives us all a bad name.

I think of her as the rightwing version of Mighael Moore.

I wouldn't have thought they'd have had the guts to bring up Ron Brown given what happened to him.
