I guess BK has proven that they have no corporate backbone. And that they'd rather not offend a non-burger eating religious idiot than stand up for themselves and common sense.
How sad...

Found this site by accident. After reading stuff on hear you guys are the biggest bunch of idiots. Burger King is a private company in a democratic company. If they want to cave the way Pepsi caved with the Ludacris campaign that is their business. You people want America your way which reminds me of how communism started. The only difference between you and bleeding heart liberals is you want want America the way you see it through your eyes and call that freedom. They want to it to be the way they see it through their eyes. Wait you are the same a bunch of selfish elitist butt-holes. Thank good middle America still hasn't been hijacked by Fox news and CNN.

Misunderstanding (or rather: hysterically mis-/over-interpreting) innocent signs/forms is silly (to say the least). I feel pity (and not a little contempt) for that muslim wingnut who thought he had to take on BurgerKing because of a "swirl" on a soft-drink-lid.

However my contempt is just as big for those hysterical idiots that would like to turn the Flight 93-Memorial into some "Islamist-Terrorist"-Memorial.

Apart from the fact that a *red* crescent is about as un-islamic as you can get (hint: there is a reason, why the Red Cross works as Red Crescent in islamic nations -- the traditional (islamist/nationalist) colour is green or (seldom) white), the shape of the memorial was suggested by the terrain.

It's a bold (and proud) statement to honour the heroes of Flight 93 with a memorial of that size.

When people are whining about an "Islamist Crescent" they are (IMHO) not doing the heroes of Flight 93 justice. The people on Flight 93 did not choose to die in this place, in this terrain...

Whenever we walk beneath the trees that surround the crash-site we will remember them where they died... american heroes, embraced by nature.

To suggest anything else -- to infer a malicious thought into the design of this memorial --- is just sick.

Just my 2¢

My impeccably perfect mind, recalls BK in a similar controversy 10-15 yrs ago and they coped out then. My confused, inept, mind however, doesn't remember what the flap was about. Any help? (Was it about pulling an ad?)

J. Kapielski, yeah, yer right -- a swirl on the lid of a frozen dessert is exactly on the same level as a memorial to people murdered by terrorists.

Idiot.

I noticed that they didn't get rid of chocolate and vanilla ice cream because of its color. This is political correctness run amok again. I to would do the boycott but Burger King food stinks so I, "boycott, " it for bad food already! Maybe I'll show up one day in a paper turban and say that the napkins offend me and see if they remove them!

After offering no concerted effort on behalf of Muslims to condemn recent acts of cold-bloodied terrorism in the civilized world, I would have told this creepy idiot to "go f**k himself." I hope I am never confronted by one of these jerks telling me that I have offended his religious sensibilities by simply performing an innocent act that is wholly accepted in a civilized world.
