Of course Wageningen allready has a <a href="http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca/world/CanadaEuropa/monument/nl(ge(wageningen3-en.asp">war monument</a>. And Amsterdam has had a <a href="http://gallery.zoommagazine.nl/images/2556">national monument</a> that might invoke similar connotations. That one misses out on the moving and the flaming top though ;-) April 5th will be decided wether the monument will be placed or not ;-)
