AP and MBA Partner on Libby Trial Coverage
The Media Bloggers Association has announced a partnership with the Associated Press in coverage of the Scooter Libby trial. MBA president Robert Cox explains that, “bloggers’ coverage of the trial will be available to the readers of more than 600 newspapers’ websites nationwide and around the world.”
AP is providing excellent coverage of the trial by Matt Apuzzo and Michael Sniffen. It’s unlikely that bloggers coming in to cover the trial in four day increments are going to do a better job of pure reporting. Then again, that’s not the point. I think readers will find real-time coverage and analysis from other voices valuable.
