		<description>At $4 Billion in acquisition cost for 5,000 units, that comes out to a mere $800 Thousand per soldier. 

From reading the article, it does not appear that the development costs are in the $4B, this is the procurement cost.</description>

		<description>Didn&#039;t see a gas mask in the illustration.  Knowing the reliability of military radios, at least the radios that were on my Bradley, Hummvee and the one I humped around with up and down the Bavarian Alps and beautiful Yakima, I&#039;ll hazard a guess that this concept will be awhile in the making.  At least for the common soldier.</description>
