Couldn't get the forms to work.

The basis for over- and under-utilized troops
http://cricketchurping.blogspot.com/2004/12/basis-for-over-and-under-utilized.html

Small excerpt:
Come on active duty, retirees, and work as long as you like! We'll take you even if you're disabled now!

It's too bad Military = Competition. It sure would be advantageous if Military = Cooperation, b/c this is a classic case of, "I've got mine. Where's yours?"

The current soldiers and their families are suffering. They've had enough. It would be beneficial to both active duty soldiers and retirees to have Reservists back fill positions related to war.

Heck! Dare I say it? It would benefit our country!

There should be a Congressional adjustment addressing this. At a minimum, Reservists should be allowed to get to 20 years for the retirement they've earned if they participate in times of war.

Why isn't the media picking up on that? Why is this pool of professionals ignored?

I read reliapundit's article on FELOW: LAW: etc

He was right on about the Terri Schiave fiasco. Doctors and Lawyers are indeed fallable. The problem is, they, as learned professionals, will damn seldom admit it. What we have in the Terri Schiave killing decision by judge greer is typical. He in no way, will ever sdmit he made a mistake, and the problem in that is that he has many many judge buddies that backed him up ie: state and federal. Judge Whittemore stated in a 11th Dist of Appeals Fed Court that the word "Murder" was emotional, Well, I got news for him, it is out and out MURDER. I may not be as "learned" as he is, But I know murder when I see it. What we are all experiencing, whether we recognize it or not, is JUDICIAL DICTATORSHIP. greer thumbed his nose at Congress by ignoring a Congressional Supoena, and the Federal Judges in Atlanta thumbed their noses at the law. (The Palm Sunday Law)by violating it. Additionally, we do not one single person in congress, or for that mater, in the Executive Branch of our Government that will do a damned thing about it. With Judges legislating from the bench citing European law as the basis for their decisions, We are all in trouble in America. It makes no sense to me that we send out brave young men to foreign lands to fight for "Freedon and Democracy" while at the same time flount the very foundation our forefathers gave us in the Consitiution and Bill of Rights.

Day Late and a Dollar Short:

The 11th District Court of Appeals has now agreed to "Consider" a request for a FULL HEARING of the Terri Schiave case.

Looks like the judges have finally recognized that they have violated the law and are in a CYA mode.

Here's another Terri Schiavo joke:

Headline of tomorrow: Doctors say Terri Schiavo's only chance for recovery is stem cell research. Protesters outside her hospice swap signs.

Posted by Jonah | March 25, 2005 | 04:29 pm | Permalink

TRUTHFULLY: the joke only makes sense if you change it so that Terri could only be saved with EMBRYONIC stem cells - which require the destruction of an embyro. Many other souces of stem cells exixt, and right-to-life people DO NOT object to using them!

The right-to-die people do not care if you have to kill an embryo to potentially save another life.

The pro-life people do not think that any embryos should die so that other persons may live.

In other words: the jokester got the essence of the contrast between the issues entirely wrong, and in his mistake also revealed his calousness to life.

Stem cells - regular strem cells, not EMBRYONIC stem cells - might one day cure people like Terri. One day soon. Maybe she should be allowed to live until that day comes?
