The only reason why Kerry is considered viable is that most people don't know anything about him yet... The only real threats to a Bush relections are 1) complacency - too many people stay home because they feel the race is no contest 2) Bush hacks off so much of his base they stay home. Most of them will not vote Democrat, but they may wonder why they should vote for one of the biggest spenders in modern times... Does it really matter? The only reason why Kerry is considered viable is that most people don't know anything about him yet...
