BLAIR COMFORTS TROOPS
BLAIR COMFORTS TROOPS: Reuters reports Tony Blair’s message to UK troops, “There will be some difficult times ahead but it is going to plan despite the tragedies that there were.” It is rather remarkable that, with 14 soldiers and marines dead, he felt necessary to make such a statement. As tragic as those losses are for the families involved, that amounts to, what, 15 minutes worth of losses on an average day in World War Two? I suspect they lost that many in London traffic accidents since this war started.
(*I just made those statistics up, but they sound right. 87.37% of all statistics are made up, after all.)
