Blog Rankings

Via @JonHenke and Rick Klein, I see that OTB is ranked as the 57th most widely referenced political blog for the month of June.

Like Henke, I am skeptical of the validity of these things (which are apparently based on links found in RSS feeds.)   I would note, however, that Ross Douthat is ranked 56th and got a sweet column writing gig with the NYT.

So close!

Of course, OTB was ranked 49th in May with Douthat at 42 and his last post was written April 17. So his blog’s retirement may account for the closing of the gap.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and infant daughter.

I am a little dismayed that we are 26 ranks behind the blog that promulgated the theory that Barack Obama is the illegitimate son of Malcolm X...

I dunno as I'd worry much, guys.
After all, didn't we just hear Angelina Jolie is more powerful than Obama?

Life is weird. Most polls are weirder.

Saying really stupid shit is one way to get quoted, I guess. It's not my preferred strategy but, alas, it is proven.

I always wondered what happened to Ross Douthat. Such a terrible thing to happen to a good blogger.

That statement is truer than you know...

No unlike you I tell the truth because I understand it. So in that this statement is exactly true, funny thing is that my stupid shit is pound for pound more relevant then anything you as a pseudo pragmatic poser of a fence sitter will ever be.

Trying to comment on subjects as an observer when your really not, doesn't mean that we cant tell bro:)

It was play off the nyuk, nyuk, nyuk. But I see that was way over your head and acceptability.

It's not fair when Conservatives and Christians make fun of us, thats our special little right, mommy, wawwawawa, Obama help me!!! pass the censorship laws!!! wawawawaawa you promised wawawawaa, sob sob sob, homophobe!!!!

Why don't you work on your comic ability for a while before you mess with me, it will be more fun like that.

Take your 2nd to last C.C. post it was decent.

No unlike you I tell the truth because I understand it.

Oh, you mean like how all abortions are murder and unacceptable or how the God of Islam tells His followers to kill all the Christians and Jews? Oh, and let's not forget how all the homosexuals are sexual perverts who are simply practicing a "lifestyle choice"...would these be the truths that you tell? By the way, I don't know who is whining about conservatives and Christians making fun of them...on the contrary, around here, it seems to be some conservatives who are doing the whining...about the president, the media, "RINOs", the universities, Hollywood, etc. etc....
