Blogging: Who Needs It

Jim Henley demonstrates, contra Julian Sanchez, that blogs provide a perfectly fine venue for discussing animal rights.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia with his wife and infant daughter.

I appreciate the link and the compliment, James. I suspect that Julian would argue that my post proves his point, though. It's fragmentary, preliminary and sloppy as to terminology. (I'm thinking of Julian's follow-up post where he distinguishes among three different meanings of "rights." You could argue that my post is rife with exactly the confusion he despaired of dispelling.)

But, like Gene Healy says, "for the raisins!"
