The ever insightful Robert Novak is leaving CNN after 25 years. even better is the fact that Mr. Novak will begin appearing on Fox News as a contributor in January.

Bob Novak is probably the most revered and esteemed journalist working in the United States today. His profile will certainly elevate FOXâs reputation as the most trustworthy news gathering operations. HIs penetrating analysis should be welcomed. Come on dude, you've got to be trolling.

There is no doubt that Novak is a conservative on most issue. The difference between him and most of the MSM is not ideology (even though the MSM is far left). The difference is Robert Novak was an equal opportunity knife thrower. He attacked conservatives and liberals alike. Unlike the MSM that mercilessly attack conservatives and give softball passes to liberals.

I think Novak is already "fair and balanced". He will fit in well at FOX.

As for the neh sayers about FOX, you are only fair and balanced if:
1. You always give Democratic talking points without question or comment.
2. You always challenge Republican talking points, especially with groundless claims and innuendo.
3. You never question the integrety of the MSM regardless of how biased they are.
4. You give much greater percentages of coverage to liberal causes.
5. You always give anti-American, anti-Iraqi news the lead story and never tell anyone anything good about Republicans or the war on terror.

"Fair and balanced" the MSM and their supporters are NOT!

Interesting. Arguably an old-guard conservative, he'll be a change from the predominantly neocons currently dominating Fox. Still, you're right James, this might not do much for the "fair and balanced-NOT" critics of FNC... they'll just cry more of the same. Need to get Juan Williams, Gerry (Gag Me) Ferraro, and even Alan Colmes some more airtime (HAH, to make their politics seem even more irrelvant).

Reading further, there was not much for Novak to do at CNN, anyway. Crossfire, Capital Gang, and the Novak/Hunt/Shields shows were cancelled, so my guess is he was sitting in his office tiddling his thumbs. I could see him as an occasional panelist on Brit Hume's show or Fox News Sunday. Maybe even as a Hannity sub on Hannity & Colmes.
