		<description>Of course, this wouldn&#039;t have anything to do with the City of San Diego desiring the extremely valuable properties at pennies on the dollar,  would it? The Marine Recruit Depot would be used for the expansion of Lindberg Field (the airport). The Broadway property is on the waterfront next to the redeveloped downtown, and is surrounded by luxury hotels and condo towers.  

The almost-closed bases are an obvious question. NAS (Naval Air Station) Brunswick, Maine is  having its aircraft removed; about all that will remain are Reserve functions. The only reason that Grand Folks AFB missed the previous BRAC was because it was the only allowed location under the ABM (Anti-Ballistic Missile) Treaty with Russia for a ABM system.  Now that the ABM Treaty is dead, why is it still being kept on life support?</description>
