BREAKING: Nasrallah In Iranian Embassy In Beirut? (Video)

According to Shepard Smith on H&C just moments ago, it is “widely believed” that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah delivered the message today that this conflict would move “beyond Haifa” from inside the Iranian embassy in Beirut. Video:

The official news agency of Iran, the Islamic Republic News Agency, has already responded to this report, saying that, “The Zionist regime, unable to overcome the legitimate resistance of the Lebanese people, continues its incessant crimes through spreading lies and making unfounded and baseless remarks.” There’s more to the response here, if you’re interested.

If true, this would make an already very complicated situation even more so. And as Shep wonders, would the Israelis consider the Iranian embassy a legitimate target? Which then leads one to the inevitable question of how would the Iranians respond if the answer to the previous question is yes.

The ole Noriega trick of hiding in an unreachable location.

Complex, surely.
But no more so than previously. Iran was known to have been supporting Hezbolah... but now we have actual evidence of it.

It strikes me that the biggest thing Israel's actions thusfar have done, is to reveal what already existed... and what we'd have seen denials existed, had it not already been exposed.

Now, the world understand in stark releif what they're up against. And the issue, I think, is not how Israel will react, but how the remainder of the world will react.

Just thinking out loud here, but it doen't seem like Iran would have much credibility using the, "sanctity of embassies" argument.

You know, because of the hypocrisy.

It's so funny it hurts: Iranian embassy... holed-up Islamofascist coward unwilling to bag his 72 raisins for fear of actually having to die... that thing about embassies being inviolate turf again...

O Israel, level it. And somewhere, RR will laugh his arse off. Again.

Makes me wonder if the two Israeli Hostages are not right next to him in the Iranian Embassy. Just to keep Nasrallah *Cough* errrrr..... I mean the hostages, safe. We all know hezbollah is, you know, nice like that. They only have everyone's best interests at heart.

I vote we send in the "dynamic duo" of appeasement to solve this problem. Yes, I mean Jesse Jackson and Jimmy Carter. They never met a terrorist they couldn't pander to... Ater we send them in... THEN it would be ok for Israel to have their "accident".

Wow you guys will jump at anything. It's "widely believed"? Among who? Two guys at Fox News? And on the basis of this strong journalism here you guys are, making plans for war and carving up the geopolitical situation. Strange.

So far this is only being covered in the nutjob press. I have not seen it anywhere in the real media.

And if he is in the Iranian embassy, so what? Are embassies not untouchable? We were not too happy when someone messed with one of ours...

"We were not too happy when someone messed with one of oursâ?¦"

Yea, but we are usually not hiding international criminals in our embassies. Hezbollah (with the help of Iran) has already blown up two of our embassies... so I say we even the score.

Recoil,

Really? Crack a history book lately? We climbed in bed with all sorts of scum during the cold war. Hell. Saddam was our boy there when we saw him as a wepon to use against Iran.
