Hereâs why this is causing a fuss in the UK. Both Straw and Blair have been denying that they knew about torture in Uzbekistan.
What the documents show is that in order to take this position they must have been ignoring the oft repeated advice of their own Ambassador to that country.

The second doc is hardly a smoking gun. Someone asked for a legal opinion and a lawyer gave one.

The first doc was published over a year ago. It is sort of hard to fathom that he has been "denied the right to publish these documents" when they have already been published.
