 Outside the Beltway

Bush Rewards Fundraisers

If this WaPo story is to be believed, people who spend a lot of time raising a lot of money for President Bush are sometimes rewarded with some nice perks and even the odd minor ambassadorship. I am shocked. Shocked!

Note: This is the main story on page A1 of the print edition.

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia.

Hey, I got a nice picture of George and Laura thanking me for my $25.

Pity I have no idea who "Christooher Cross" is...

I've gotten a half dozen of those pictures (two in the last two weeks) and I don't remember making any contributions. Obviously running my fine weblog these last two years is worth a $150 contribution to the campaign.
