		<description>floyd has a point.  I can&#039;t speak for anyone else, but I am not intimately tuned to Russian politics.  It seems to me that our perspective of Putin and his seeming autocratic ambitions is akin to Socialist Europe&#039;s view on the Bush administration - giving it more credit than it can realistically take.

That being said, I &lt;em&gt;do&lt;/em&gt; think that we have reason for concern in his play for increasing power and the manipulation of the system needed to acquire it.</description>

		<description>This should be interesting.  We haven&#039;t seen a proper attempt at a significant diumvirate for years.  Times like this remind us why the Russians consider themselves the logical extension of the Roman Empire - they even have power struggles like the Romans and the Byzantines did.</description>
