Congress Renews Patriot Act; Bush to Sign

As widely expected, the House overwhelmingly passed the slightly revised Patriot Act. The Senate has already passed the identical bill. President Bush will sign it soon, since the old Act expires Friday.

So much for Senator Reids promise to kill the Patriot Act. I for one am tired of hearing democrat politicians bloviating about the constitutionality of the Patriot Act. It is not their jobs to decide such issues. This country has been mislead by Democrats long as I can remember. Kennedy and the missle gap, Johnson and the Gulf of Tonkin, Carter and being President and anything that came out of Clintons mouth. I have always heard that politicials lie. It seems only all Democrat politicians lie, historically.
It will take a few more years, I am sure, but then we will hear the final gurgle-gurgle as the last of our freedoms go down the drain.
I think the Patriot act, and its additions as the years go by, is going to turn out to be a worse infliction on the American people, by far, than 9/11 was.
