 Outside the Beltway

Cornering the Market on Irony

Michael Ledeen laments the Wall Street Journal’s liberal bias in not fronting John Kerry’s poorly delivered joke from Monday in today’s edition:

Nothing at all on the front page of the WSJ, quite disgraceful. In case you wondered about the WSJ newsroom, the main political story is an allegation of graft against a Republican congressman.

A story that should have been delayed until after the election. Talk about journalistic ethics! Get a new editor for the news section.

Belle Waring wonders, “Is this supposed to be satirical in some way?”

Perhaps Ledeen accidentally set his clock back to April to mark the end of Daylight Savings Time….

About the Author: James Joyner is the publisher of Outside the Beltway and the managing editor of the Atlantic Council. He's a former Army officer, Desert Storm vet, and college professor with a PhD in political science from The University of Alabama. He lives just outside the Beltway in Alexandria, Virginia.

The WSJ, which I read cover to cover every day, is probably gathering info and will do a big front page human interest/scandal column story on it all for Thursday.
