Dan Drezner Hired, Tenured at Tufts
Dan Drezner, who was foolishly denied tenure by the University of Chicago last month, has been snapped up by the Fletcher School at Tufts as a tenured associate prof.
Congrats to Dan! A well deserved hire and, from the looks of things, a better fit. Tufts, and schools of public policy in general, is a more conducive environment than a department of political science for public intellectuals. Dan’s ecclectic writing and research interests weren’t appreciated by the Chicago faculty but they’re what made him so attractive at Tufts.
Dan’s post also offers a rejoinder to the general whining against tenured academics that’s well worth the read.

James, I think I know what you're saying; but your creative use of grammatical conventions makes it a bit unclear.
